Yeah, the desks and the 16-year-olds (no offense because of your age! Really! You're just.... really young) doing pointless AMAs.... makes me glad that I discovered a really addictive game that's now taken over every spare minute at work.

Seriously. I really hate the theme-flood. If it was relegated to one post that would be great.

Thing is, that one post trickles down the feed and gets lost easy.

Is there a way one of the mods could sticky a thread at the top for a day? That would make it a lot easier to collect everything into one thread.

It's because the theme posts come fast and furious which pushes other posts down to 2nd and 3rd pages where they die with no replies.

Well, this is a community.

And communities do things together .

As nice as it is to have 6 million posts about 6 million things, sometimes I would like to see someone else's take on the same subject. A problem arises with trying to fit all the separate posts into one post with comments; the viewing of comments isn't quite there yet. If we all followed each other, it'd be easy. But until that happens, someone's post is going to be buried. So the solution is to make more posts to Oppo. And I don't mind.

I'm always the kind of guy that thinks "Have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it." More content is better than less, keeps activity up and the stream going. Feel your post got drowned out? Re-share .

My dreamed-up solution would be to a have a symbol/link thing next to the Oppositelock logo. That link would go to a different page that was the theme for that day. Hovering over the link would show what the theme chosen would be for that day in a title text. An Oppositelock author would be chosen randomly by some script every 24 hour period (or whatever time interval) and be moderator for that page for the day. That would encourage people to check by daily and maybe give people moderation experience to take over from our current moderators when they wish to pass the torch. Doesn't seem impossible to script for, just maybe some hurt feelings if people don't post on their day or they miss their day.

When there's 4 theme posts for every 1 good post, that's a big deal. It's hard to scroll past when it's a majority of the page.

Theme days were supposed to be all in one post, instead of taking over the entire site for most of the day. Having new posts is nice, but when there are tons of them about more or less the same thing, it starts to kick the fun out of it.
